Cavernous hemangioma
Can be seen in skin and in internal organs like liver and pancreas. In skin they manifest as elevated reddish blue soft lesions.
Microscopy : large pools/spaces lined by single layer of endothelial cells and are separated by fibrous stroma. “Cavern” means a large cave or hollow or cavity and hence the name “cavernous” for these lesions . These large spaces are filled with blood.
